So we had a fun weekend. (I know I'm blogging this late, but I just now thought, "Oh! This might be blog-worthy!" I'm a nerd.) We woke up Sunday morning to about two inches of water in our basement. Woohoo, that's always fun. But we had obligations at church and a roommate who didn't, so (I love her, I love her, I love her) she took care of things, sopping up the floor and trying to find the leak, while we headed off to church. The problem is, any time we used any water at all, even to flush a toilet, the drain to our septic system backed up more and more. And not always with clean water. Yeesh. So Monday came along and the plumber found a tree root growing through our drainage system, eighty feet from the house. We're $200 poorer and we have yucky smelling carpet (even after it was shampooed and dried) but we're no longer water-logged down here.
Now, let's just hope the tree root doesn't grow back.
Disciple of Christ. "Talmid" stresses the relationship between rabbi and disciple. A talmid of Jesus' day would give up his entire life in order to be with his teacher. The disciple didn't only seek to know what the teacher knew. The foremost goal of any talmid was to become like the rabbi and do what the rabbi did. (Courtesy www.followtherabbi.com)

Oh it will grow back. As surely as the sun rises and sets. It will.
Thanks for the encouragement, Jeanie. :p
I would so be a bad citizen for the city's water supply and all that, but I kind of want to send some tree killer down the drain and see if that keeps it gone.
Can I have an address to this house so I can send you something?
